About

Queen City Craft is a place to spread the word about indie craft in Vermont and beyond.  Indie craft is about pushing the limits, finding your own line, reusing, recrafting, and creating.  It is about offering an alternative.  Vermont has a thriving fine art and fine craft scene, but indie craft doesn’t always fit into that mold.  Queen City Craft promotes and supports these indie crafters through online marketing and the Queen City Craft Bazaar (QCCB)

The Queen City Craft Bazaar is Vermont's indie craft extravaganza featuring over 40 of the best indie crafters, artists and designers from Vermont and the surrounding area.  The Queen City Craft Bazaar is held twice a year, in Spring and Fall at Union Station at One Main Street in Burlington VT.

The QCCB is different from most craft shows you will find in Vermont because it focuses on the indie craft movement.  It is a juried show which includes a diverse mix of indie crafters, artists and designers who produce unique handmade items created with the DIY spirit.

This event is FREE! There is metered parking as well as several paid lots in the area or you can  jump on the free College Street shuttle from uptown and get dropped off right at the front door.  Union Station is a beautiful building located near the waterfront at the bottom of Main Street.
If you are a crafter interested in applying to the next show click here to find out more info about participating.  If you are a local business, performer, or food vendor and want to find out how you can get involved email me here.

History of the Queen City Craft Bazaar

Queen City Craft was created to provide a home for indie craft in Vermont. If it looks a bit familiar that's because it is.  Sara DeFilippi of the late Made Boutique & Gallery started the Queen City Craft Bazaar in the Spring of 2007. Through her store and the creation of the Queen City Craft Bazaar Sara provided local indie crafters with a place to sell their handmade goods. Sara has since closed down the store and is moving on to other adventures so the torch has been passed to Kacey to carry on the message. Sara's entrepreneurial spirit will be missed in Burlington but her voice will still be heard from time to time as a guest blogger on Queen City Craft.

Thanks Sara! You will be missed.
